CORE develops risk-based maintenance processes. CORE has developed comprehensive, task-based overhauls for turbine, boiler and reactor equipment since 1982. The first commercial hot nuclear control rod mechanism overhauls process was developed by two CORE principles in 1984. CORE developed the first comprehensive, risk-based PM template application software. CORE's lead engineer, J.K. August, participates in the ASME, ANS, and SMRP. Mr. August has written two books and many papers on risk-based maintenance. CORE's ER-plusTM processes create systematic, performance-based PM that supports condition-directed maintenance. Other attempts to develop risk-based PM methods have met partial success. CORE developed the first closed CMMS-to-PM-to-CMMS work order loop - the first practical living maintenance program!
