Equipment Reliability-
plusTM templates apply standard scheduled maintenance tasks to new or existing designs based upon risk. Users select parts, failures and failure control strategy pre-blocked as PM tasks or operator rounds. Operator rounds are often the most effective way to manage short duration or random equipment failures. These include filter plugging, self-identifying circuit faults, or other tasks inappropriately managed by work orders provided with rounds monitoring capability by supplier. Users re-group tasks, specifying risk-based rounds and monitoring screens. Rounds/screen designers re-block maintenance tasks based upon specified criteria.
Personal digital assistants (PDA) now replace plant startup, shutdown, and monitoring log sheets. Implemented electronically on SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) monitoring screens, monitor drop points provide virtual rounds. Touch screen control room displays replace many traditional operator rounds. CORE designs remote monitoring screens and warning alarms.
